Support a Doidge Building Centres Ltd. location as an Assistant Manager, combining employee coaching, safety compliance, and operational oversight.
This Assistant Store Manager role supports the company’s retail building-centre operations and its Rona-branded locations. You will supervise teams, assist hiring and selection, oversee store procedures, and help manage resources, inventory, and product movement. Regular professional development and training are part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Secure appropriate staff coverage for store operations
Assist with recruitment and employee selection
Coach, motivate, and influence team performance
Ensure compliance with store safety procedures
Participate in professional development and training
Requirements:
Experience selecting, assessing, coaching, and counseling associates
Functional knowledge of retail management practices
Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in business is an asset
Two years supervisory experience preferred
Use employee leadership, retail operations, safety, and coaching experience to support Doidge Building Centres Ltd. store teams.
