Support the Plant Design Project course at the University of Ottawa through Aspen HYSYS expertise and in-person proctoring in Ottawa. This Winter 2027 assignment runs on the main campus.
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering seeks Teaching Assistants for CHG4250. You will support a course with expected enrolment of 100 students while applying chemical engineering design knowledge, Microsoft Visio, and Aspen HYSYS. The assignment includes 130 total hours from January 1 to April 30, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
Proctor scheduled course activities for Plant Design Project
Work in person on uOttawa’s main campus
Complete assigned duties under supervisor direction
Requirements:
Undergraduate chemical engineering degree or equivalent
Experience using Aspen HYSYS
Experience using Microsoft Visio for process diagrams
Completed a chemical engineering capstone design project
Familiarity with chemical engineering unit operation calculations
Apply chemical engineering design, Aspen HYSYS, and proctoring skills as a CHG4250 Teaching Assistant in Ottawa.
