Senior Accountant Markham Manufacturing

Lead month-end close and financial reporting as a Senior Accountant in Markham, working fully on-site five days per week.
This Senior Accountant oversees accounting for an established Canadian manufacturer with more than 50 years in business. The work combines full-cycle accounting, payroll, compliance, reporting, and bookkeeping. You will work independently while receiving support from a larger corporate finance team, including a Controller and Assistant Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Own month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements
Present variance analysis findings to management
Prepare management reporting packages and budget tracking
Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees
Manage AP, AR, remittances, and audit documentation
Requirements:
Five-plus years of full-cycle accounting experience
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field
QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting system experience
Payroll platform experience; PayWorks knowledge is an asset
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
