Finance Team Leader Petline Insurance

Lead Petline Insurance finance with month-end close and regulatory reporting expertise in Definity’s flexible hybrid work experience. Guide analysts while improving essential financial processes.
Reporting to the Controller, Petline Insurance, this Team Leader oversees financial and regulatory reporting, banking, accounts payable, and expense planning. You will lead financial analysts, collaborate with accounting, tax, actuarial finance, and business teams, and support exposure to OSFI requirements. The position also contributes to accounting standards, controls, audits, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end close, journal reviews, and financial statement packages
Deliver accurate OSFI and provincial regulatory reporting requirements
Oversee banking, tax remittances, accounts payable, and expense analysis
Lead audits, controls, reconciliations, and monthly system validations
Drive automation, simplification, and strategic finance projects
Requirements:
CPA accounting designation and three-plus years supervising finance professionals
Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Strong analytical, communication, Excel, and attention-to-detail skills
Experience identifying and executing process improvements
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
