Support resident-centered recreation at Fairview Nursing Home through program planning and caring relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. Work within a multidisciplinary team focused on quality of life.
As a Recreation Team Member, you will help deliver holistic care in a flexible living environment. The role suits candidates enrolled in or holding recreation, leisure studies, or gerontology credentials. You will plan programs, support social culture, and build exemplary relationships across the Village community.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement recreation programs for residents
Support the resident-centered social culture
Foster relationships with residents and families
Work within a multidisciplinary team
Deliver holistic care focused on quality of life
Requirements:
Recreation, leisure studies, or gerontology diploma or degree
Caring, respectful attitude toward residents and families
Knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation’s five health domains
Knowledge of recreational therapy practices and techniques
Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check and Tuberculosis screening
Bring recreation planning, therapeutic knowledge, and respectful relationship-building to Fairview Nursing Home’s resident-centered care.
