Phlebotomy Laboratory Assistant Dynacare

Process blood samples and support patient care as a Laboratory Assistant with Dynacare in Kelowna’s Mission location. This permanent full-time role is 100% onsite.
As a Laboratory Assistant – LHSC, you will process blood samples, other specimens, requisitions, and results accurately. You will provide empathetic customer service while supporting patients through potentially stressful collection experiences. The role requires phlebotomy, specimen handling, ECG performance, data entry, and secure information management.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain blood samples using skillful venipuncture techniques
Process specimens and enter requisitions and results accurately
Sort and steer specimens for laboratory transportation
Perform ECGs and complete supporting documentation
Provide calm, caring customer service to patients
Requirements:
CSMLS or BCSLS certification, or accredited MLA graduation
Phlebotomy skill and patient-facing sample collection experience
Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
Typing speed between 25 and 40 words per minute
Ability to attend various LHSCs across the region
Bring phlebotomy, accuracy, and patient-focused service to Dynacare’s laboratory team in Kelowna’s Mission location.
