Hospital Housekeeping Laundry Coordinator
Vancouver Island Health Authority
Support hospital services as a casual Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor serving Port Hardy, Port McNeill, and Alert Bay. Regular multi-site travel is required.
Vancouver Island Health Authority seeks a supervisor to coordinate housekeeping and laundry assignments and administer daily services. The position supervises 5 to 16 designated staff, evaluates work assignments, and reflects VIHA’s shared responsibility for patient safety and quality improvement. Work times and days off are as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate housekeeping and laundry service assignments
Evaluate work assignments for designated staff
Supervise teams of 5 to 16 staff
Perform day to day service administration
Travel between Port Hardy, Port McNeill, and Alert Bay
Requirements:
Grade 10 education
Three years of recent related experience
Equivalent education, training, and experience combination
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to deal effectively with others
Bring practical supervision, service coordination, and communication abilities to hospital housekeeping and laundry operations across three communities.
