Support surgical patients at Toronto General Hospital as a Perioperative Room Attendant, using patient assistance and transport skills. Work temporary part-time Friday and Saturday nights.
UHN seeks a Perioperative Room Attendant for its Operating Room department. The position performs direct and indirect patient care functions, including supply stocking, environmental support, and equipment setup. Candidates need related patient care experience, English proficiency, and knowledge of contaminated-material handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock supplies supporting Perioperative Services operations
Assist surgical patients directly within assigned responsibilities
Transport patients and materials throughout designated settings
Maintain environmental support within adjacent work areas
Perform assigned cross-functional duties during shifts
Requirements:
Completion of Grade XI or recognized equivalent
One year of related patient care experience
English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension ability
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Ability to work collaboratively and perform patient care activities
