Respiratory Therapy Clinical Educator
Southlake
Lead respiratory therapy education at Southlake Health in Newmarket, using clinical expertise, facilitation, and evidence-based practice in a permanent full-time position.
The Respiratory Therapy Educator provides leadership, orientation, and competency-based skills development for hospital staff. Working with interprofessional teams, this educator advances respiratory practice through learning, research integration, critical inquiry, and best practices. The position also supports clinical pathways, protocols, and program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on Respiratory Therapy practices and processes
Monitor standards, legislation, and respiratory scope-of-practice changes
Develop education plans with Nurse Educators and Clinical Managers
Lead staff and student orientation across respiratory services
Integrate evidence-based practice into policies and care standards
Requirements:
Membership in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
Advanced Diploma in Respiratory Therapy
Minimum three years recent acute care clinical experience
Experience leading quality improvement projects
Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
