Transportation Operations Team Leader

Lead transportation operations by coordinating inbound and outbound freight, fleet vehicles, and carrier capacity at Walmart in Surrey, British Columbia.
This Team Leader manages freight performance and coordinates transportation activities across the distribution centre. The work involves collaborating with the General Manager, stores, national inbound team, Dispatch, NOC, vendors, and carriers. You will analyze freight data, schedule staff, and support safe, cost-effective service.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound freight flow against daily priorities and weekly targets
Maximize fleet and carrier vehicle use for on-time service
Liaise with carriers, vendors, Dispatch, and NOC
Analyze inbound and outbound data and recommend efficiencies
Plan staffing, assignments, training, and transportation documentation
Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 years
Understanding of inbound, outbound, and yard operations
Understanding of transportation equipment and shunt dynamics
Ability to analyze freight flow data
Ability to address workplace safety concerns
Bring transportation coordination, freight analysis, staffing, and safety oversight skills to Walmart’s Surrey distribution centre.
