Apply steel detailing expertise to substation fabrication drawings at ENTRUST Solutions Group Canada. Work four days downtown Calgary and one day remotely weekly.
This Drafter Civil Structural Designer role supports transmission and substation engineering for electric power delivery systems. You will visualize steel structures in two and three dimensions, apply detailing conventions, and operate within steel standards and codes. The position also involves connection checks, equipment interpretation, foundation detailing, and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply gauge lines, edge distances, and weld symbols
Operate within steel standards and applicable codes
Visualize and interpret two dimensional steel drawings
Design connections around support steel and equipment
Coordinate work between multidisciplinary engineering groups
Requirements:
Three plus years structural steel fabrication drawing experience
Three to seven plus years MicroStation and AutoCAD drafting
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
Three dimensional drafting experience preferred
High voltage substation support structure familiarity preferred
Strengthen ENTRUST substation design delivery through precise steel detailing, connection checks, and standards-based drafting.
