Municipal Economic Data Analyst
City of London
Turn municipal data into clear economic insight as a full-time Economic Research Analyst with the City of London, working in a hybrid arrangement. Support evidence-based policy.
This permanent position serves the City Manager’s Office through Strategy, Innovation & Economic Development. You will collect, maintain, analyze, and interpret information about London’s economy and major sectors. The work includes research design, data sources, economic indicators, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Research industry, labour force, demographic, and market information
Monitor economic, social, cultural, and policy conditions
Identify data sources, collection methods, and analytical applications
Provide statistical information and recommendations for policies and services
Present educational sessions for internal stakeholders
Requirements:
Master’s degree in economics, statistics, commerce, or related studies
Four years’ related economic research and analysis experience
Experience supporting internal and external decision-making with evidence
Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
Use municipal economic research, statistical interpretation, and stakeholder communication skills to strengthen London’s programs, services, and planning.
