Advanced Care Paramedics Needed in Wiikwemkoong

Drive patient care excellence as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Manitoulin Sudbury District Services Board in Wiikwemkoong, ON. This permanent role offers a platform for specialized medical care and community support.
As an Advanced Care Paramedic, you will report to the Deputy Chief of Paramedic Services, providing both primary and advanced medical interventions. Candidates should hold valid Ontario certifications and have graduated from an approved Advanced Care Paramedic program. Prior experience as a Primary Care Paramedic is preferred to ensure effective patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Render emergency medical care per established protocols
• Transport patients safely to and from healthcare facilities
• Act as a patient advocate with a professional demeanor
• Convey critical information to healthcare stakeholders
• Engage in continuous education and skill enhancement
Requirements:
• Valid Advanced Care Paramedic certification in Ontario
• One year experience preferred in a caregiving capacity
• Capacity to manage stress and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace
