Maintain guest rooms, mechanical systems, and lodge facilities as a Maintenance Technician at Best Western Valemount in British Columbia. Plumbing and electrical skills matter.
This Maintenance Technician supports daily upkeep across the property, including guest rooms, common areas, staff housing, grounds, and mechanical systems. The work includes building trades, preventive maintenance, work orders, seasonal procedures, and guest interaction. You will collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain lodge rooms, common areas, housing, grounds, and systems
Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, pool, and spa maintenance
Complete preventive schedules and respond to work orders
Remove snow, landscape grounds, and complete periodic yard work
Report priorities, safety compliance, and facility improvements
Requirements:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
General building trades proficiency and willingness to learn
Problem-solving, self-starting attitude, and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts
Valid Alberta Class 5 licence with clean abstract
Support safe, welcoming facilities through building trades, preventive maintenance, problem-solving, and guest service at Best Western Valemount.
