Small Animal Emergency RVT

Apply registered veterinary technician expertise in small animal emergency care, supporting urgent patients at Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Peterborough.
As an RVT with VetStrategy, you will work alongside veterinarians, RVTs, and support professionals at KVEC. The accredited hospital provides 24-hour, seven-day emergency care across Peterborough and surrounding communities. Your work combines nursing, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, medications, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Monitor patient status and communicate concerns promptly
Monitor anesthesia and provide perioperative care
Assist diagnostic testing, laboratory work, and imaging
Maintain accurate medical records and organized treatment areas
Requirements:
Current OAVT registration or eligibility for registration
Strong technical and organizational capabilities
Confidence recognizing patient-condition changes
Compassion and professionalism with stressed clients
Collaborative approach and continued-learning commitment
Use your RVT training across emergency nursing, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, and client support within KVEC’s local team.
