Licensed Practical Nurse Dementia Care

Licensed Practical Nurses assess residents, monitor vital signs, and provide individualized care in accordance with BCCNM standards. Support dignity, comfort, and independence through attentive nursing practice.
This Licensed Practical Nurse position follows the LPN scope of practice under BCCNM. The work includes geriatric nursing, dementia care, medication administration, wound care, and infection control. Strong communication supports residents, while independent and collaborative practice guides daily care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess residents' health status and monitor condition changes
Provide nursing care through individualized care plans
Assist residents with activities of daily living
Promote dignity, privacy, comfort, and independence
Monitor vital signs and report abnormal findings
Requirements:
Current LPN registration and British Columbia licensure
Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program
Current CPR certification as required by employer
Knowledge of geriatric nursing and dementia care
Knowledge of medication administration, wound care, and infection control
