Apply advanced technical review skills to municipal infrastructure designs and plans as a Design Approval Technician IIB. This is a temporary position.
Reporting to the Regional Engineer, the Design Approval Technician IIB performs advanced technical and administrative work. The position reviews plans, specifications, drawings, and designs for municipal infrastructure. It also supports design approval recommendations and project management during execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Review municipal infrastructure plans, specifications, drawings, and designs
Determine design and plan adequacies or deficiencies
Recommend design approvals to the Regional Engineer
Review designs before municipal infrastructure projects reach tendering
Manage projects during municipal infrastructure execution
Requirements:

Ability to perform advanced technical work
Ability to perform administrative work related to design review
Ability to assess plans, specifications, drawings, and designs
Ability to identify design adequacies or deficiencies
Availability for one temporary employment term
Support municipal infrastructure delivery through advanced design review, approval recommendations, and project management during execution.
