Quality Inspection Coordinator Barrie

Coordinate onsite quality inspections in Barrie with welding expertise, precision measurement, and manufacturing defect detection at MacLean Engineering.
This Quality Inspection Coordinator verifies product and component quality against company, customer, and regulatory specifications. The position supports continuous improvement, ISO compliance, and productivity by monitoring manufactured components, evaluating defects, and mentoring coworkers. Daily work spans fabrication, welding, machining, painting, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform random inspections and mentor manufacturing coworkers
Inspect fabricated assemblies and machined parts using measuring tools
Interpret blueprints, drawings, welding requirements, and specifications
Complete inspection documents, drawings, and traceability tags
Identify defects, coordinate repairs, and report non-conformances
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related discipline
Three or more years' fabrication or product inspection experience
Blueprint reading and weld joint configuration understanding
Knowledge of MEMCO and CWB procedures and specifications
CWB, welding inspector, or SSPC/NACE certificates are assets
