Annual Giving Development Officer
St. Joseph's Hospice of London
Lead annual giving and donor relations at St. Joseph's Hospice in London, Ontario, working fully on-site with donors and community partners.
Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement and Development, this full-time permanent position coordinates daily fundraising activities. You will build donor pipelines, manage appeals, secure corporate support, and steward contributors. The role advances philanthropic funding for hospice programs, equipment, and special needs while respecting privacy, consent, grief, and readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage annual giving pipelines through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Plan direct mail and digital fundraising appeals with communications staff
Cultivate corporate donations and secure in-kind contributions
Coordinate third-party events and approved lottery activities
Monitor revenue, retention, renewals, upgrades, forecasts, and recommendations
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in fundraising, business, marketing, communications, or related discipline
Three to five years of progressive fundraising experience
Success securing, renewing, and increasing individual and corporate donations
Proficiency with DonorPerfect or comparable donor database
Experience discussing grief and end-of-life care sensitively
Bring annual giving, donor stewardship, database, and relationship-building expertise to strengthen St. Joseph's Hospice philanthropy.
