Operate excavators on Central and Northern Alberta projects with Blackline Civil Inc., using underground construction and utility safety expertise daily.
This full-time Excavator Operator role focuses on precise civil construction work around live utilities. You will install water, sewer, and storm systems while reading plans and following grade requirements. Success requires safe judgment, equipment care, and close field coordination.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators for trenching, backfilling, grading, and utility installation
Safely expose existing underground utilities and work around live lines
Follow grade stakes, trench depths, and site plans precisely
Coordinate with pipe layers, labourers, and supervisors
Maintain trench safety through shoring, sloping, and benching
Requirements:

Two or more years of underground or civil excavator experience
Proven experience working around live utilities
Strong understanding of trenching and excavation safety practices
Ability to read grade stakes, plans, and utility drawings
Valid driver’s license and ground disturbance certification
Bring precise excavation, utility awareness, and trench safety expertise to Blackline Civil’s Alberta infrastructure projects.
