OTR Tire Technician Trainee Sudbury

Start mining tire service training with Kal Tire in Sudbury, Ontario, where safety, hands-on repair, and dependable site support matter.
The OTR Tire Technician Trainee performs tire service and repair for mining equipment while learning Kal Tire’s standards. Training is provided during onboarding for candidates without previous OTR technician experience. Work follows 14/14 rotations and 12-hour days, with bus-in, bus-out service from Sudbury and Timmins.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and perform mining tire service and repairs
Mount, dismount, balance, and inspect tires
Use manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks
Follow site safety procedures and use PPE
Report hazards and participate in safety meetings
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Physical ability to handle heavy materials safely
Tire technician experience preferred
Valid driver’s licence
Successful drug, alcohol, physical, and criminal checks
Develop OTR tire technician skills through structured training, safe equipment operation, and mining-site service in Sudbury.
