Support resident daily living needs as a Health Care Aide in Oakbank, using dementia care knowledge and safe patient handling techniques. Day and night shifts are anticipated.
Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority seeks a Health Care Aide for Kin Place Personal Care Home’s Long Term Care department. Working under Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse direction, you will assist with personal needs and resident care. The position requires understanding established policies, nursing processes, confidentiality, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with personal needs and daily living activities
Follow Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse direction
Apply established policies and procedures during resident care
Use assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes
Support client, patient, and resident needs respectfully
Requirements:
Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
Knowledge of dementia care and Resident Bill of Rights
Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques
Ability to organize tasks and work with minimal supervision
Satisfactory security, abuse registry, and employment checks
Bring respectful resident care, dementia knowledge, and safe handling skills to Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank.
