Inclusive Childcare Program Leader
YMCA of Greater Vancouver
Create belonging for children ages 5–12 as an Inclusive Childcare Program Leader with YMCA BC, supporting weekday afternoon programming.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this permanent part time position delivers age-appropriate programs aligned with YMCA standards and licensing requirements. You will collaborate with staff, support positive behaviour, maintain appropriate ratios, and contribute to children’s care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver programs aligned with YMCA standards and legislation
Interact directly with children through child-centered programming
Guide conflict resolution and reinforce positive behaviours
Maintain active supervision and appropriate staff-to-child ratios
Collaborate on inclusive practices and individualized support
Requirements:
Passion and experience supporting children ages 5–12
Ability to lead learning and wellness activities
Strong relationships with children, families, schools, and partners
Clear communication, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Use child-centered programming, care planning, and collaboration to help YMCA BC children feel valued, supported, and included.
