LGV Class 2 Driver Waste Collection
Biffa Waste Services
Drive LGV vehicles on Biffa’s AM shift from Vauxhall, using vehicle safety knowledge and independent judgment outdoors. Work Thursday to Monday, starting at 04.00AM.
As an LGV Driver, you will work as a single-person crew collecting and emptying bins for trade waste customers. You will operate front and back loaders while supporting Biffa’s waste services. The role requires a valid Category C licence, Driver CPC, and vehicle safety awareness. Good communication helps you serve customers during daily collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive various LGV vehicles, including front and back loaders
Collect and empty bins from trade waste customers
Complete daily vehicle checks before collection duties
Report vehicle defects promptly and accurately
Safely manoeuvre and operate large rigid vehicles
Requirements:
Valid LGV or HGV Class 2 Category C licence
Valid Driver CPC or Driver Qualification Card
Understanding of road and vehicle safety
Knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph requirements
Good communication, customer service, and health safety awareness
