School Wellness Centre Nurse

Help operate a school Wellness Centre at The Bishop Strachan School as a casual Relief Wellness Nurse. Apply clinical care, confidentiality, and health-data expertise on-site.
This as-needed position supports Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 students, parents, and the wider school community. You will establish effective records processes, protect confidentiality, provide care, and encourage student participation in health decisions. The schedule is 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Create processes for collecting and managing health data
Maintain records using appropriate electronic databases
Set confidentiality parameters with Student Well-being leadership
Encourage students’ participation in decisions affecting their care
Administer medications, flu shots, vaccinations, and medical tests
Requirements:
Nursing education and current Ontario nursing registration
Understanding of nursing ethics and relevant legislation
Knowledge supporting students’ physical, behavioral, and public health needs
Warm, caring rapport with students
Cultural competence and respect for individual uniqueness
Combine wellness-centre coordination, health-data stewardship, and compassionate nursing to serve The Bishop Strachan School community.
