Use consolidation expertise and advanced Excel skills as a Senior Accountant supporting financial close for a mining-sector client in Toronto. The contract requires two weekly Toronto workdays.
This 12-month Senior Accountant contract focuses on periodic consolidation and consolidated financial reporting. You will review intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries, accruals, and working papers while preparing reporting packages. The work also includes audit coordination, variance analysis, and reporting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Lead periodic consolidation and consolidated reporting activities
Review intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries
Prepare leadership reporting packages and financial analysis
Identify accounting and reporting automation opportunities
Requirements:
CPA designation or near-completion of designation
Three or more years of progressive accounting experience
Knowledge of full-cycle accounting and consolidated reporting
Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience
Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting exposure is an asset
Bring consolidation, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis experience to this Senior Accountant contract serving Toronto operations.
