Support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth as an Early Childhood Assistant at St. Paul VI Child Care Centre in Toronto.
This temporary part-time split-shift Teacher Assistant position reports to the Supervisor at St. Paul VI Child Care Centre. You will deliver developmentally appropriate programming, support inclusion for children with special needs, and collaborate with families and service providers. The assignment runs immediately through December 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise children and maintain safe, healthy environments
Plan, deliver, and evaluate daily programming
Encourage active learning and children’s independence
Observe strengths, challenges, skills, and interests
Communicate children’s development and activities with families
Requirements:
Early Childhood Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
Experience with families, children, and special needs
Working knowledge of ELECT and play-based curriculum
Current Standard First Aid certification and medical records
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Internet, and email
Bring inclusive programming, child observation, family communication, and safety skills to St. Paul VI Child Care Centre.
