Class 1 Vacuum Truck Operator
GFL - Sewer Technologies Division
Operate industrial vacuum equipment for GFL while delivering hydro excavation and fluid hauling services with safety and professionalism.
As a Class 1 Vacuum Truck Operator, you will support GFL’s Vacuum Truck Services team across diverse industrial activities. Duties include spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading or hauling various fluids and materials. The work requires client service, teamwork, environmental compliance, and effective communication. You will also manage productivity independently while following company procedures and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate vacuum equipment in industrial settings
Perform hydro excavation, spill cleanup, and line flushing
Complete equipment pre trips and compliant driver logs
Maintain accurate documentation for completed work
Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 license with Air Brakes
Fairly clean Commercial Drivers Abstract
Minimum six months vacuum truck or hydro excavating experience
Ability to operate manual transmission
Flexible availability for varied shifts
