You may act as a call taker or dispatcher, process service requests, dispatch resources, and provide pre-arrival or post-dispatch instructions. Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming calls according to established procedures
Dispatch appropriate resources for provincial EHS service requests
Calm callers and direct their actions appropriately
Complete required paperwork and reports accurately
Maintain an organized workspace and support safety initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 education
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift work
Ability to type 25 words per minute accurately
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software
Bring communication, multitasking, and customer service skills to emergency call processing and dispatch operations in Dartmouth.
