Elementary School Supervision Assistant

Support students during non-instructional time at Leary Integrated Arts and Technology Elementary School through supervision and First Aid. Work one hour daily, five hours weekly.
As a Supervision Assistant, you will monitor student behaviour, assist students, and cooperate with employees and students. The assignment runs ten months annually, reports to the Principal or designate, and requires minimal direction. This work includes supporting students inside the school and on school grounds while maintaining assigned areas. You will also respond to safety, discipline, medication, and activity-material needs as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor student behaviour inside school and on school grounds
Ensure students remain in assigned areas
Administer First Aid and directed student medication
Report safety and discipline concerns to the Principal
Distribute activity materials and equipment
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
Over six months’ experience working with children
Valid Safety Oriented First Aid Certificate
Ability to work with special needs students
Effective oral and written communication abilities
