Brake and Tire Technician Halifax
U-Haul
Maintain U-Haul trucks in Halifax using brake service, tire balancing, and electronic vehicle inspections. This full-time position supports Ford and GMC fleet equipment.
As a Brake and Tire Technician, you will assess and care for field vehicles using U-Haul’s proprietary technology. The work includes securing trucks, performing brake and tire maintenance, and road testing vehicles occasionally. Training is available through Ford, GMC, and U-Haul classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
Perform tire and brake maintenance
Mount, dismount, and balance tires
Occasionally road test vehicles
Use electronic pre-inspection checklists
Requirements:
Basic mechanical aptitude
One to two years of repair experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bring mechanical aptitude, tire service, and brake maintenance skills to U-Haul’s Halifax fleet technician team.
