Transportation Dispatch Coordinator

Coordinate transportation service in Edmonton with GFL, using route support, customer communication, and proprietary dispatch software every day.
As a Dispatcher, you connect drivers, internal teams, and customers while managing service orders and daily challenges. The work includes scheduling service, dispatching calls, tracking productivity, and recording service data. You will collaborate with sales, operations, customer service, and maintenance personnel to support established policies and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule service and accommodate customer changes
Dispatch calls according to routes and driver locations
Check in drivers and review route paperwork
Resolve service issues with internal departments
Handle customer calls, emails, and delivery problems
Requirements:
One to two years in transportation, dispatch, or customer service preferred
Understanding of TDG requirements and waste manifests
Knowledge of hours-of-service regulations is an asset
Proficiency with Gmail, Sheets, and Docs
Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills
Use dispatch coordination, customer service, and accurate data skills to support GFL transportation operations across Edmonton.
