Landfill Maintenance Laborer
Asotin County
Perform hands-on landfill maintenance for Asotin County using hand tools, light equipment, and computerized data entry in all weather conditions.
The Landfill Laborer works in the Regional Landfill under the Landfill Foreman. Duties include routine maintenance, equipment operation, scalehouse data entry, and Moderate Risk Waste support. Limited on-the-job training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate pickup trucks, tractor mowers, and approved light equipment
Perform routine labor and minor preventative equipment maintenance
Assist with computerized cash and charge account data entry
Support receiving, handling, and bulking Moderate Risk Waste
Complete related landfill work as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License at time of hire
One year of applicable computer applications experience or equivalent
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
Obtain required hazardous waste and First Aid certifications
Bring dependable manual labor, equipment operation, and computer skills to Asotin County’s Regional Landfill maintenance team.
