Commercial Insurance Pricing Actuary

Support Aviva’s commercial insurance financial goals through actuarial pricing, credit risk analysis, and portfolio reviews for large accounts.
Aviva Canada is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for its high performing Large Accounts Pricing team. The team supports commercial accounts with premiums above $2M and accounts involving complex or unique structures. You will collaborate with underwriters and communicate results across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct account indication analysis for rate adequacy
Support complex commercial portfolio pricing reviews
Evaluate credit risk for large retentions
Share results with managers, underwriters, brokers, and senior leaders
Advance process efficiency through automation improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related quantitative field
Equivalent professional experience is considered
At least one year preferred P&C actuarial experience
Completion of two or more SOA or CAS exams
Programming experience with SAS, VBA, Python, or R
Apply actuarial, programming, and commercial pricing skills while supporting complex account decisions at Aviva Canada.
