Overview
KPMG Canada is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join its Calgary team. The role supports clients' cybersecurity transformation through advisory, service delivery, and hands-on technical work across multiple industries.
What you will do
Contribute to cybersecurity transformation engagements, from requirements gathering and risk assessment through solution design and implementation.
Help clients address cybersecurity challenges and manage risk across technology architecture, including on-premises and cloud environments.
Work with senior team members and subject matter experts to propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Contribute to the development of KPMG Cyber services and participate in relevant community events.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
At least two years of experience identifying and managing technology risks and implementing mitigation plans.
Experience defining or implementing security controls across technology layers, including operating systems, firewalls, networks, databases, and applications.
Knowledge of cloud security tools and services, such as Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, or Google Cloud, and security technologies such as EDR, MFA, IDS/IPS, DLP, and identity and access management.
Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27K, CIS, or CSA, as well as networking and the OSI model.
Ability to lead cybersecurity projects, meet deadlines, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CCSK are an asset.
