This temporary Educational Assistant position runs from November 30, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The 1.0 FTE assignment provides 35 hours weekly across a 10-month position. You will assist prescribed programs in individual and group settings, support Individualized Education Plans, and help students develop academically, socially, and physically.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist prescribed programs for special needs students
Support transitions between home and school
Help implement Individualized Education Plans
Observe, document, and report student development
Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation
Requirements:

Educational assistant program completion or equivalent
Minimum one year working with children
Positive and empathetic attitude toward students
Ability to maintain confidential information discreetly
Ability to perform toileting and lifting tasks
Bring educational assistant training, empathy, and student support skills to special needs programming within this Catholic school district.
