Emergency Department Registered Practical Nurse
Cambridge Memorial Hospital
Deliver emergency nursing care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with patient assessment and monitoring expertise. This full time position includes 12 hour shifts.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will support the Emergency Department team in delivering exceptional patient care. Apply nursing knowledge through assessments, treatments, procedures, monitoring, reporting, and documentation. Assist with daily living activities while educating patients and families. The schedule includes days, nights, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform treatments and procedures for Emergency Department patients
Assess patients and monitor changes in overall condition
Report and document patient status changes
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Provide relevant information and education to families
Requirements:
Hold College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
Complete an RPN diploma or equivalent qualification
Maintain current CPR and Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia certificates
Bring one year of recent hospital clinical experience
Demonstrate excellent physical assessment and communication skills
Bring emergency assessment, monitoring, and patient education skills to Cambridge Memorial Hospital’s Registered Practical Nurse team.
