Residential Health Care Assistant Fraser Health

Provide person-centered support with Fraser Health as a Residential Health Care Assistant, assisting residents with daily care and established activities. Work within Fraser Hope Lodge.
This Health Care Assistant works under Registered Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner direction. The position supports residents, clients, families, and volunteers through personal care, mobility, meals, orientation, and leisure participation. Care follows established plans and resident abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with personal care, positioning, mobilization, and bed changes
Welcome residents and families by explaining routines and surroundings
Encourage participation in care-planned leisure activities
Demonstrate activities and involve families or volunteers appropriately
Respond to call bells and refer concerns appropriately
Requirements:
Recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent preparation
Grade 10 education
Food Safety Certificate Level 1
Ability to deal effectively with others
Ability to organize work and teach
Bring respectful communication, personal care, activity support, and organization skills to Fraser Health residential services at Fraser Hope Lodge.
