As a Patient Support Assistant, you partner with Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to provide quality patient and family-centred care. You assist with daily living activities while supporting treatment areas, patient rooms, and care equipment. The position emphasizes customer satisfaction, communication, and quality management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with bathing, nutrition, positioning, and ambulation
Stock treatment areas and care carts
Maintain linen supplies for patient care
Clean rooms, utility areas, and nursing stations
Participate in quality management initiatives
Requirements:

Recognized personal support worker or health care aide certificate
Current Basic Life Support certification
Previous related experience, preferably in acute care
Proficient computer skills and medical terminology knowledge
Ability to lift over 60 pounds and push equipment
