Lunchtime Supervisor Notre Dame Newmarket

Supervise students at lunchtime with the York Catholic District School Board in Newmarket. Promote safe, caring, positive, and friendly school environments.
As a permanent CUPE 2331 Lunchtime Supervisor, you will work under the School Principal’s direction at Notre Dame. The position involves monitoring students, supporting appropriate play, encouraging respectful interactions, and communicating concerns. This role is scheduled for 10 months and five hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students indoors and outdoors during lunch breaks
Monitor behavior and encourage respect, kindness, and inclusivity
Report misconduct and atypical situations to school leadership
Support appropriate play and monitor out-of-bounds areas
Assist with emergency situations, training, and staff meetings
Requirements:
Less than high school graduation plus additional training or education
Minimum one month of required experience
Good communication skills and a positive demeanor
Experience working with children and monitoring multiple activities
Ability to respect confidentiality and attend students’ physical needs
Support student safety, positive interactions, and lunchtime supervision at Notre Dame with the York Catholic District School Board.
