Educational Assistant Student Care Support

Support student personal care, safety, and mobility needs as an Educational Assistant at Falmouth District School in the 2026-2027 school year.
Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education seeks Educational Assistants to support students identified through program planning. Duties include personal care, medical procedures, mobility assistance, and equipment operation under teacher or school team direction. The role also supports routines, transportation, supervision, and positive rapport.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with lifting, positioning, mobility, and personal care
Operate lifts and assistive technology as required
Administer medication according to applicable guidelines
Carry out authorized medical procedures when trained
Supervise students during school activities and breaks
Requirements:
Human Services diploma or equivalent related training and experience
Confirmation of educational qualifications with the application
Current CPR and First Aid training
Required health-care support training or certification
Ability to perform the position's physical requirements
Bring personal care, mobility support, medical training, and student supervision skills to Falmouth District School.
