This technician role supports prescription services, pharmacy administration, and dispensary operations. You will greet customers, gather prescription information, manage third party billing, answer telephones, and maintain cash register controls. Accurate records, confidentiality, and pharmacist referrals remain essential throughout service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and gather prescription information promptly
Adjudicate third party billing online and manually
Set realistic expectations regarding prescription wait times
Locate and cash out prescriptions and ancillary items
Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and dispensary cash controls
Requirements:
Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
Ability to organize and multitask effectively
Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills
Combine customer service, billing administration, and regulated pharmacy technician knowledge to support Shoppers Drug Mart customers accurately.
