Support patients from greeting through specimen preparation as a casual Lab Patient Technician at LifeLabs. Flexible availability is required for operational shifts.
This Lab Patient Technician role centers on accurate specimen collection and respectful patient care. You will confirm test protocols, perform phlebotomies, complete special collections, and prepare samples for transportation. Strong communication, empathy, adaptability, and problem solving support interactions with patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Request patient information and confirm test requirements
Perform phlebotomies and connect or disconnect Holter monitors
Complete ECG tracings and special test collections
Respond to client inquiries and follow up on requests
Enter demographics and requisition information accurately
Requirements:
Laboratory Assistant program graduation or equivalent preferred
Strong customer and patient service abilities
Excellent communication skills for stressful situations
Flexibility, empathy, adaptability, and problem solving skills
Strict patient privacy and confidentiality standards
