Support students with diverse needs as a Term Educational Assistant at the Ottawa Catholic School Board in Ottawa, Ontario.
Working under the principal’s direction and classroom teacher’s supervision, you will support students in classrooms or special education settings. The assignment focuses on academic development, physical, emotional, and hygienic needs. You will also contribute as a school team member supporting educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with specific developmental, physical, or behavioural needs
Assist students in special education classrooms and programs
Support academic development and educational participation
Respond to physical, emotional, and hygienic needs
Contribute to school teams and perform assigned duties
Requirements:
Secondary school diploma
Two-year related Community college diploma or child-related university degree
Two years’ relevant experience working with children
Experience supporting physical, intellectual, behavioural, or learning difficulties
Equivalent education and experience may be considered
Bring student support experience, communication skills, and inclusive care to the Ottawa Catholic School Board’s term assignment.
