This full-time Surgical Technician role supports soft tissue and orthopedic procedures at BEVS. The hospital also provides emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and oral surgery. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and technical staff while supporting precise patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as scrub or circulating technician during surgical procedures
Prepare sterile fields, instruments, implants, and patients
Assist anesthetic induction and monitor recovery status
Maintain, sterilize, and inspect surgical equipment
Train staff and uphold surgical suite compliance standards
Requirements:
One or more years of veterinary surgery experience preferred
Hands-on soft tissue or orthopedic instrumentation experience
Understanding of sterile technique and suite preparation
Credentialed veterinary technician preferred
Ability to handle patients and surgical physical demands
