Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator

Occupational health and safety coordination takes center stage in this role, supporting compliance, incident investigations, and safer work practices across Olymbec.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Coordinator maintains the organization’s occupational health and safety program. The position develops policies, supports safety initiatives, investigates incidents, and promotes continuous improvement. It also partners with leadership, supervisors, employees, and joint health and safety committees.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and maintain the occupational health and safety program
Develop and update policies, procedures, and safe work practices
Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage
Conduct root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Two to five years’ health and safety coordination experience
Experience conducting inspections, investigations, and safety training
Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Support Olymbec’s safety program through compliance, investigations, training, and accurate reporting across the organization.
