Accounts Payable Transportation Technician

Apply accounts payable expertise to transportation invoices, vendor coordination, and Oracle Transportation Management System processing. This technician role supports accurate billing and timely posting.
Reporting to the Manager, the Accounts Payable and Transportation Technician manages high-volume invoice processing across multiple vendor assignments. The work includes auditing carrier invoices, validating contract pricing, and posting transactions in the ERP. You will also investigate discrepancies and support process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume accounts payable invoices across vendor assignments
Audit EDI and carrier portal invoices against contract pricing
Coordinate end-to-end invoicing directly with transportation vendors
Verify, code, match, and post invoices into the ERP
Reconcile discrepancies and minimize aging balances
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting diploma, or equivalent experience
At least three years in transportation, freight, manufacturing, or industrial organizations
Knowledge of accounts payable principles, systems, and freight documentation
Understanding of freight rates and fuel surcharges
ERP experience and ability to learn new environments
Bring transportation invoicing, vendor communication, reconciliation, and ERP skills to accurate accounts payable operations.
