Utility Electrical Design Technologist
Stantec
Build utility distribution designs for Stantec clients in Saskatoon or Calgary, combining technical guidance with coordinated project delivery. Field work may involve exposure to inclement weather.
As part of the Distribution Design team, the Electrical Engineering Technologist designs underground and overhead infrastructure rated 25kV and below. You will communicate directly with clients and customers, establish service requirements, and provide design alternatives. The position also coordinates stakeholders and supports safe, cost-effective, timely facilities that meet applicable requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish service requirements with clients and customers
Design underground and overhead distribution infrastructure
Manage external client relationships through timely communication
Coordinate project designs and approval requests
Travel and perform site visits as required
Requirements:
Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to organize work within given timelines
Commitment to continuous improvement and quality service
North American utility power distribution experience is an asset
Use electrical design, customer communication, coordination, and project management capabilities to deliver utility solutions at Stantec.
