Manager of Human Resources for Nunavut Arctic College

Take charge as Manager of Human Resources at Nunavut Arctic College. This Rankin-based role involves planning, executing, and evaluating HR services across multiple areas.
The HR Manager will report to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for key HR initiatives including recruitment, perilous employee relations, and performance management. You will ensure adherence to policies regarding Inuit employment and lead efforts to improve staffing procedures. Expertise in collective agreements is also key to providing informed guidance on HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct recruitment and staffing operations efficiently
• Advise on employee relations and disciplinary policies
• Oversee performance management systems and reviews
• Ensure compliance with HR and Inuit employment standards
• Coordinate effective relocation procedures for new hires
Requirements:
• Several years of experience in HR management
• Strong labor relations and performance management skills
• Familiarity with Inuit employment laws and policies
• Ability to guide policy interpretation
• Proven capabilities in HR program oversight
