This permanent Staff Accountant role supports Baker Tilly’s accounting and advisory practice. You will prepare accounting records, post journal entries, participate in audits, and advise clients. The position requires Canadian public practice experience and accounting education.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounting records and financial statements
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
Post journal entries and make adjustments
Participate in audits and advise clients
Collaborate on file planning and completion
Requirements:
Accounting diploma or degree from post-secondary education
At least one year of Canadian public practice experience
Knowledge of Microsoft O365, QuickBooks Online, Taxprep, and Caseware preferred
Ability to work independently and with others
Sound judgment with confidential and sensitive matters
